Oasis Donut Dash 5K & 5 Miler

The Oasis Donut Dash takes place at Bob Wentz Park in Austin, Texas. This event features scenic routes along the Lake Travis shoreline, utilizing sandy paths and lakeside trails within the Texas Hill Country. The course is designed to provide participants with views of the waterfront and the surrounding natural landscape.

Participants can choose between two primary distances:

  • 5 Mile (8K): This distance serves as the official RRCA Texas State Championship.
  • 5K: A route along the shoreline that can be completed by running, walking, or rucking.

The 5 Mile event is officially sanctioned by the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA). This championship race includes cash prizes for the overall male and female winners, along with special championship medals for various divisions including Open, 40+, 50+, 60+, and Adaptive athletes.

All participants receive a custom-designed challenge coin and have access to a gourmet donut station at the finish line. Registration includes entry to Bob Wentz Park, providing access to amenities such as "The Point" sandy peninsula, swimming areas, shaded picnic tables, and shower facilities. Spectators or those using additional park amenities should note that the park is a cash-only facility. Well-behaved dogs on leashes are permitted in designated areas of the park, though they are restricted from "The Point." Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
