Event Overview
The Oasis Donut Dash 5K & 5 Miler takes place at Bob Wentz Park in Austin, Texas. This lakeside event features routes along the Lake Travis shoreline, utilizing sandy paths and offering views of the Texas Hill Country. The 5 Miler (8K) event is officially sanctioned by the Road Runners Club of America and serves as the 2026 RRCA Texas State Championship.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 5 Miler (8K)
- 5K Run, Walk, or Ruck
The 5-mile course involves navigating the lakefront paths twice, while the 5K option follows the shoreline. Both courses take place on varied terrain including sandy surfaces, which the organizer notes may reduce joint impact compared to road surfaces.
Registration includes entry into Bob Wentz Park, granting access to facilities such as "The Point" sandy peninsula, picnic areas, restrooms, and beach access for swimming. At the finish line, a gourmet donut station provides refreshments. Participants receive a custom design medal or challenge coin as part of the race series. The event is open to various age groups and includes adaptive athlete divisions in the championship category. Spectators may attend, though the park requires cash for non-registered visitor entry and certain secondary amenities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
