Rollingwood 5K
The Rollingwood 5K is a community athletic event held in Rollingwood, Texas. The event features two distinct distances for participants to choose from:
- 5 km
- 1 km Kids Fun Run
The 5 km course is open to general participants, while the 1 km Kids Fun Run is specifically designed for children aged 8 and under. Children participating in the shorter distance receive a cape as part of their entry. The event serves as a fundraiser, with all proceeds benefiting The Rollingwood Women's Club, a 501(c)3 charitable organization.
Registration includes different tiers based on the date of entry. Participants who register by early March are guaranteed an event shirt, while those registering during the late period through race day are not guaranteed one. Packet pick-up is organized over two days, located at Hatley Field near the upper park baseball field playscape on Friday, and at Rollingwood City Hall on the morning of the event.
The event concludes with an organized gathering in the Lower Park. Recognition is provided for the 5 km distance through overall male and female awards, as well as age group awards starting from 10-14 and extending to 60 years and older.
