Event overview

The Oakley 20 is an open road running race of 20 miles held in Oakley, Bedfordshire, incorporating the Bedfordshire AAA County Championships. The event finishes outside Lincroft Academy School (MK43 7RE) and uses Lincroft Academy as Race HQ. The course consists of two circular laps that pass through the villages of Pavenham, Felmersham and Stevington. The course is measured, undulating and not suitable for wheelchair athletes.

Entry, rules and services

The race is limited to 800 entrants and competitors must be at least 18 years old on race day. There is a strict 4.5-hour time limit to complete the course. All finishers receive the Oakley 20 hoodie as a race memento; hoodie size is chosen at the time of entry and sizes are guaranteed only until midnight 6 March 2026. A transfer facility is available and must be completed at least 30 minutes before the race starts. If the event is cancelled for adverse weather, safety reasons or circumstances beyond the organiser's control, there is no refund or deferment policy.

On-course and event services include changing facilities, toilets, secure baggage, hot and cold refreshments, medical provision, water stations, chip timing, age-group and team awards, marshals and a sweep vehicle. A strict no head/earphones policy applies except for medical or prescription hearing devices; use of other devices may result in disqualification.
