Oakley 20
The Oakley 20 is an open road running race organized by Bedford Harriers AC. The event takes place in the villages north of Bedford, with the race headquarters located at Lincroft Academy in Oakley, Bedfordshire. The race is limited to 800 participants and serves as the Bedfordshire AAA County Championships for eligible runners.
The course consists of a 20 mile distance, following two circular laps through the villages of Pavenham, Felmersham, and Stevington. The route starts in Oakley village and finishes outside Lincroft Academy School. The terrain is described as undulating and measured, though it is not suitable for wheelchair athletes. Runners must adhere to a strict time limit of 4.5 hours to complete the course.
Participants must be at least 18 years old on the day of the event. The race includes several facilities for athletes:

On-site amenities include changing rooms, toilets, secure baggage storage, and medical provision. Water stations are positioned along the course, and marshals alongside a sweep vehicle provide support during the race. All finishers receive a hoodie as a memento, with the size selected at the time of entry.
The event operates a strict policy regarding audio equipment. No headphones, including open-ear or bone-conducting varieties, are permitted. Use of such devices will lead to disqualification.
