Oakley 20 is an open road running event over a measured 20 mile course taking place in villages north of Bedford. The race uses two circular laps that pass through Pavenham, Felmersham and Stevington, with the finish outside Lincroft Academy School in Oakley. Race headquarters are at Lincroft Academy, Oakley, Bedfordshire MK43 7RE.
The course is measured and undulating and is not suitable for wheelchair athletes. The event is limited to 800 entrants and entrants must be 18 years or older on the day. There is a strict 4.5 hour time limit to complete the course. The race incorporates the Bedfordshire AAA County Championship; separate entry criteria apply for that championship.
Facilities listed for the event include changing facilities, toilets, secure baggage, hot and cold refreshments, medical provision, water stations and chip timing from start to finish. Age group and team awards are provided. All finishers receive the event memento hoodie; hoodie size selections are recorded at the time of original online entry and sizes are guaranteed for entries made by midnight 6 March 2026. A transfer facility is available to update or transfer entries via the original registration details.
The organiser operates a strict no head or earphone policy for non medical hearing devices; competitors wearing devices other than medical or prescription aids may be disqualified. The organiser does not offer refunds or deferments if the event is cancelled for adverse weather or other circumstances beyond its control.
