Oaklawn Color Classic 5k & Fun Run
The Oaklawn Color Classic is a community running and walking event in Marshall, Michigan, held at 107 N. Park Ave. The event offers two distances and is limited to the first 1,000 registered participants. Registration opens January 1, 2026 and closes June 6, 2026. The registration fee for the listed events is $45.

- 3.1 Miles 5K Walk & Run
- 1 Mile Fun Run
Participants receive several items as part of the event. Registered participants are eligible for a commemorative T shirt if registered by May 12; a neck gaiter; and a participation medal, with the first 750 racers to cross the finish line receiving medals. The first 600 adults to pick up their items at the designated location will receive a commemorative pint glass, and the first 400 kids will receive a color changing cup. Pick up for these items is at Dark Horse Brewing Company after the run and distribution is first come first served. There is a post race gathering at Dark Horse Brewing Company in Marshall. Colored powder used along the course is made from cornstarch, food dyes, and baking soda and is described as 100 percent FD&C and/or D&C approved.
