Oakadoke Trail Runs
Oakadoke Trail Runs takes place on the Creekside Trails at Twin Creeks Farm in Valparaiso, IN. The event uses the full trail system and features tree-covered single-track, winding switchbacks, multiple bridge crossings over a creek, and intermittent views of surrounding farmland.
The event offers looped course options:
- 4 miles roughly half of the main loop out to the Salt Creek section
- 9 miles one full loop through the trails
- 18 miles two laps of the 9 mile loop
The terrain is varied with many ups and downs, twists, turns, and uneven surfaces. The course is described as Midwest trail terrain rather than mountainous. Aid stations are positioned every 2.0 to 4.4 miles and provide water, an electrolyte drink, sweet and salty snacks, and fruit. The race is cupless; participants are responsible for carrying their own containers for refills at aid stations.
Event amenities included with registration are a fully marked course, venue parking, timing and results, medical support, professional photography, a post race meal and beverages for participants and volunteers, and custom finisher awards. Every finisher receives an award and the top three male and female finishers at each distance receive an additional podium award. Youth pricing and limited youth free entries are noted, and the event participates in a fund to cover registrations for those in need. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
