NYS Parks Summer Run Series 2026
The NYS Parks Summer Run Series is a multi-race summer running series held at New York State parks. The series includes eight separate races at different park locations, with designated Grand Prix scoring at several events. Several races are wheelchair accessible and multiple dates include kids fun runs.
Race schedule and distances:
- June 8 - Heckscher State Park - 5 Miles (Wheelchair, Kids Fun Run)
- June 15 - Sunken Meadow State Park - 10K (Kids Fun Run)
- June 22 - Belmont Lake State Park - 5K
- July 13 - Caumsett State Park - 5K (Wheelchair)
- July 20 - Robert Moses State Park - 1 Mile Beach
- July 27 - Hempstead Lake State Park - 5K
- August 3 - Heckscher State Park - 5K (Wheelchair, Kids Fun Run)
- August 10 - Jones Beach State Park - 5 Miles (Wheelchair, Kids Fun Run)
Registration is offered in two tiers: Tier 1 covers all eight races for an individual fee of $100 (maximum 2,500 entrants), and Tier 2 covers four specified races for $75 (maximum 1,500 entrants). Online registration is available; no in-person registration is provided. Packet pickup is mandatory prior to the first race at Long Island State Park Headquarters, 625 Belmont Ave, West Babylon, NY.
Amenities include participant T-shirts, post-race beverages and snacks for bib-wearing participants, and post-race raffles for participants only. Awards are given per race by age group and medallions are awarded to wheelchair racers. Grand Prix points are awarded at select races, with an overall series prize presented at the Jones Beach race.
