Run to the Verrazzano 4 Miler
This event is a 4 Miler out and back along the boardwalk at American Veterans Memorial Pier in Brooklyn, near the Verrazzano Narrows Bridge. The course runs along the shore with a turnaround that offers a clear view of the bridge and a photo opportunity. The site is on Munsee Lenape / Canarsie lands at Veterans Pier, Shore Rd & Bay Ridge Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11209.
Participants receive a bridge tee. An informal bag check area is provided, though the organizer cannot accept responsibility for belongings. Bathrooms are a few minutes' walk from the start and finish. Hydration is provided at the finish line. High quality refreshments are supplied by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water.
Both in person and virtual participation options are available. Virtual entrants may log a time from the first day of the event and have a full week to submit results and up to five photos; virtual items begin shipping on the first day of the event. Bibs can be mailed for a fee of $10 if registration is completed at least ten days in advance; mailed bibs may take 3–5 days to arrive. The organizer provides guidance on bib placement for accurate timing and recommends securing the bib at all four corners.
Results and media are published live online, by email and by text, with free video and same day finish line photos. Age group recognition includes top overall male female and X and top finishers across standard age brackets. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
