Run to the Verrazzano 4 Miler NSRF
This event is a four mile out and back road race that starts and finishes at the American Veterans Memorial Pier in Brooklyn. The course runs along the shore near the Verrazzano Narrows Bridge and includes a turnaround with a clear view for photos. The location is identified as Munsee Lenape/Canarsie lands at Veteran's Pier, Brooklyn.
Amenities include an informal bag check area for personal belongings, bathrooms a few minutes' walk from the start and finish, and hydration provided at the finish line. Finish-line refreshments are provided by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. Participants receive a bridge tee.
A virtual option is available. Virtual participants have from the first day of the event and a full week to log a time and upload up to five photos. Event items for virtual entries begin shipping on the first day of the event. In-person bibs can be mailed for a fee of $10 if registration and mailing are completed at least ten days before the event. Visible and properly mounted bib placement is requested for accurate results.
Age-group recognition is awarded online to the top overall M/F/X and to the top finisher in standard age categories from 14 and under through 90 plus. Donations benefit the Never Stop Running Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports athletic and charitable events. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
