NSRF Run to the Verrazzano 4 Miler
The NSRF Run to the Verrazzano 4 Miler is an out-and-back running event held along the Brooklyn shoreline. The course follows the boardwalk, starting and finishing at the American Veterans Memorial Pier. During the run, participants reach a turnaround point that provides views of the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge.
The event features several participant services and amenities:
- 4 Miler (In-person)
- 4 Miler (Virtual option)
Pacers are available on the course to help runners maintain their speed. Participants receive a bridge-themed t-shirt, and those who register at least three weeks in advance have their names printed on their race bibs. An informal bag check area is provided in the staging area, and hydration is available at the finish line. Post-race refreshments include sparkling water and bakery products.
Online recognition is provided for top finishers across various categories. The event recognizes the top three overall participants and the top finishers in age groups ranging from 14 and under to 90 and older. For those choosing the virtual option, times and photos can be uploaded online during a designated one-week window.
The venue at Veterans Pier is accessible via street and metered parking, and public transportation options are available nearby. The event is held rain or shine, and all proceeds benefit the Never Stop Running Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports athletic events and the development of athletes.
