NYCRUNS Frozen Pigeon 5K
The NYCRUNS Frozen Pigeon 5K takes place on January 17, 2026, in Prospect Park, Brooklyn, NY. The course covers just under one full loop of Prospect Park and ends with a final sprint up Center Drive. The course is USATF-certified. Race participants receive a finisher medal and a tech shirt; shirts are distributed on race day only and sizes are not guaranteed.
Logistics and amenities
The Festival Area is in the Nethermead and can be reached via Center Drive or the walking paths off Well House Drive. Start corrals are pace-based and labeled AA through F; corral assignments appear on the race bib and are based on the pace listed in the runner profile. Bibs may be picked up in the Festival Area on race day; NYCRUNS members can have bibs mailed at no cost, non-members may add mailing for an additional fee. Bag check requires a single clear bag (18" x 24"); organizers may provide one if needed. Portable bathrooms, on-course hydration, electrolyte fluids and cans of smartwater at the finish, and post-race refreshments (bagels and fruit) are provided. Handcycle and Wheelchair divisions are included. Results will be emailed and posted online. Awards are given to the top three overall male, female and non-binary finishers by gun time, and to top three in age groups by net time.
