NYCRUNS Big Apple Half Marathon - Central Park, New York
The NYCRUNS Big Apple Half Marathon takes place in Central Park on December 13, 2026. The event is a half marathon distance of 13.1 miles on a multi-loop course; NYCRUNS notes that all its courses are USATF-certified and that a detailed course map will be provided closer to race day.
Start corrals are pace based and assigned by letter from AA to F; corral assignment appears on the bib and is determined from the pace recorded in the NYCRUNS runner dashboard. Bibs are available for pick up in the festival area on race day with a required unique QR code. NYCRUNS members may have their bib mailed at no cost; non-members may add mailing for an extra fee when registering, subject to registration timing and U.S. mailing address restrictions. Participant shirts are distributed on race day and sizes are not guaranteed.
Race amenities include bag check using a single clear bag provided if needed, portable restrooms in the festival area and on course, a finisher medal, post-race bagel options and an apple, and event photographers with a photo gallery emailed after the event. Results are emailed and posted online. Awards are given to the top three overall male, female, and non-binary finishers by gun time, with age group awards by net chip time across standard age brackets. Prize money is offered to eligible NYCRUNS members and the race is a qualifying event for the NYCRUNS Local Elite Athlete Race Entry Program. Policies include no refunds or transfers, time limits on course, and prohibitions on strollers and dogs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
