NYCRUNS Big Apple Half Marathon
The NYCRUNS Big Apple Half Marathon is a Half Marathon (13.1 miles) held in Central Park, New York City on December 13, 2026. It is the first race in the organizer's Central Park winter race series. All NYCRUNS courses are USATF certified and the event uses a looped course around Central Park; detailed course maps are published closer to race day.
Start corrals are pace based and assigned by letter (AA through F); corral assignment appears on the bib and is determined from the pace in the runner's NYCRUNS dashboard. Bibs are distributed in the Festival Area on race day or can be mailed to NYCRUNS members under specified conditions. The event provides participant shirts, a finisher medal at the finish line, bag check with a required clear bag, and portable bathrooms in the Festival Area and on course. Post-race food includes bagel options.
Results will be emailed and posted online after the race. Awards are given to the top three male, female, and non-binary overall finishers by gun time, plus age group awards by net/chip time across multiple age categories. Prize money is available to eligible NYCRUNS members who meet performance and participation criteria, with amounts distributed to the top 10 places. The event recommends mass transit for arrival and notes that strollers and dogs are not allowed, earbuds that impede awareness may lead to disqualification, and all races enforce time limits.
