NYCRUNS Big Apple Half Marathon
The NYCRUNS Big Apple Half Marathon takes place on December 13, 2026 in Central Park, New York. This is the tenth annual edition and the first race of the organizer's Central Park winter race series. The event awards a finisher medal and provides an official race tech shirt to participants.
The course is a looped route around Central Park and is USATF certified. The race uses a pace based corral system with lettered corrals (AA through F); corral assignments appear on participants' bibs and are based on the pace listed in each runner's NYCRUNS dashboard.
On-site amenities include bag check (single clear bag provided if needed), portable bathrooms in the festival area and on course, post-race food featuring several bagel options, and race photography with one free downloadable image per participant. Bibs are available for pick up in the festival area on race day; NYCRUNS members may receive bib mailing at no charge if registered early enough, or non-members may add mailing for a fee under specific conditions.
The event posts results by email and on its results page. Awards are given to the top three overall male, female, and non-binary finishers by gun time, plus age group awards by net/chip time across standard age brackets. Prize money is available to eligible NYCRUNS members, including a first place award of $1,000, subject to membership and performance standards. Standard event policies apply, including no refunds or transfers, no strollers or dogs, and course time limits. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
