NYCRUNS Big Apple Half Marathon
The NYCRUNS Big Apple Half Marathon is a USATF-certified half marathon held in Central Park on December 13, 2026. The event uses a pace-based corral system (AA through F) with start corrals assigned from the pace listed in each runner’s NYCRUNS profile.
Event amenities include bag check with a single clear bag policy, portable bathrooms, water and Gatorade on course and at the finish, post-race bagel options and a Big Apple, a long sleeve race shirt distributed on race day only, and a finisher medal. Participants receive one complimentary race photo with options to purchase more from MarathonFoto.
Bibs are available for race day pickup in the Festival Area or can be mailed to NYCRUNS members at no cost. Non-members may add bib mailing for an extra fee; mailed bibs require registration at least 20 days before the race and a U.S. mailing address. The Festival Area is located by the 102nd Street Crossing adjacent to the North Meadow ballfields next to East Drive. Organizers recommend mass transit and note limited parking.
This is a multi-loop course; handcycle and wheelchair athletes are not advised to register. Prize money is offered to qualifying NYCRUNS members with a prize scale up to $1,000 for first place and additional payouts through tenth. Standard no-refunds and no-transfers policies apply; NYCRUNS members have withdrawal-for-credit options. All races have time limits and rules of competition that participants must follow.
