The NYC 50k - Stair Set of Doom Ultra is a challenging 33+ mile race held in the Bronx, New York City, showcasing the city's iconic sites and hidden gems. Participants tackle over 3,500 feet of elevation, including 90 stair sets, across city streets, parks, dirt trails, and six bridges spanning four boroughs. The course passes through 16 parks and diverse neighborhoods rarely featured in races.
This largely self-supported, unsanctioned ultra demands runners carry their own supplies, with limited aid stations and marked public restrooms. Finishers receive tee shirts and beers, and the race winner earns a pair of Blenders sunglasses. The event offers a unique, gritty NYC running experience.
