NYC 50k - Stair Set of Doom Ultra
The 3rd Annual NYC Stair Set of Doom Ultra is an urban ultramarathon that covers 33+ miles across city streets, parks and dirt trails. The route crosses four boroughs and includes 16 parks and six bridges, passing a variety of neighborhood streets, historic bridges and winding park paths. The listed start location is the Riverdale Metro North parking lot at 413 Railroad Terrace, Bronx, NY 10471.
Course details include more than 3,500 feet of elevation gain and about 90 stair sets of varying size placed throughout the route. The event is unsanctioned and largely self supported; participants should plan to rely on their own water, fuel and restroom usage. Aid stations are available along the way and public restrooms will be marked on the route. The course map and route instructions are provided to registrants.
