NYC Stair Set of Doom Ultra
The NYC Stair Set of Doom Ultra is a 33.5 mile urban ultra on April 17, 2027, based at the Riverdale Metro North parking lot, 413 Railroad Terrace, Bronx, NY 10471. The course runs across city streets, parks and dirt trails through four boroughs.
The route includes over 3,500 feet of elevation gain and about 90 stair sets of varying size. Runners pass through 16 parks and cross 6 bridges, covering neighborhoods not typically included in many races. The event is unsanctioned and largely self supported. Aid stations will be available, but participants should plan to carry their own water and fuel; public restrooms will be marked along the route.
The organizer will share the course map and route instructions after registration. Registration opens June 4, 2026 and closes April 9, 2027. The registration fee is $55.00.
Included items noted by the organizer are a finisher tee shirt and a first place prize. There will be post race beers at the Broadstone Bar and Kitchen.
