Nut Run 5K Run/Walk
The Nut Run 5K is an annual event held at the Green Valley Pecan Company in Sahuarita, Arizona. This race is one of three events included in the Orchard Series and takes place within a large agricultural setting. The route begins on the north side of the orchard and follows a course through the pecan trees.
Participants compete on a course consisting of private dirt roads between the pecan orchard fields. The event is USATF Sanctioned and features chip timing to record official results for all participants. Awards are provided for the top three finishers in various age and gender divisions, as well as for masters runners.

Participants who register by a specific early deadline are guaranteed a t-shirt. Following the race, the Green Valley Firefighters Association provides a pancake breakfast for attendees, which includes fresh pecans sourced directly from the farm. Proceeds from the event are donated to a local non-profit organization. Due to the nature of the private farm roads, dogs are not permitted on the course during the event.
