Event Overview
The 2026 Never Stop Running Foundation Turkey Trot 50 Challenge is a month-long athletic event held throughout November. This virtual challenge focuses on cumulative distance tracking rather than a single race day. Participants can take part from any location by following specific activity guidelines to reach set distance goals between November 1 and November 30.
Activity Categories
The challenge offers two primary distance goals for participants to complete over the course of the month:
- 50 miles of running or walking.
- 250 miles of cycling.
Tracking and Participation
Participation is based on intentional movement from one point to another. General daily steps do not count toward the total mileage. Participants can track their progress using various methods, including GPS smartwatches, mobile applications like Strava, or by calculating laps on a track. Treadmill runs and stationary bike sessions are also permitted. Miles are logged manually through an online results portal, and those who register after the start date are permitted to backdate their mileage to the beginning of the month.
Beneficiary and Amenities
The event supports the Never Stop Running Foundation, a non-profit organization that assists charitable athletic events and helps develop athletes at local and international levels. Participants receive several items as part of their entry:
- A long sleeve technical tee shirt.
- A keepsake commemorative bib.
- A finisher medal.
Registered individuals have access to online result tracking and the ability to upload photos to a shared gallery throughout the duration of the challenge. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
