About the race
The Glen Cove YMCA 5K Run/Walk is a community road event held in Glen Cove, New York, with the course starting and finishing at Glen Cove High School and related race services at the Glen Cove YMCA. The event offers a 5K distance and includes post-race awards, prizes, refreshments, and sponsor giveaways. T-shirts are distributed on a first-come first-serve basis.
Awards include a Top 1 male and Top 1 female overall prize of a one year Full Adult Y membership and a Y gift basket. Age-group medals are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in the listed age divisions, from 15 and under up through 80 and over.
Bibs can be picked up before the race at the YMCA at Glen Cove and on race day at Glen Cove High School. Virtual entries and related items are shipped to participants, with a shipping window from one week before the event to one week after the event. Participants who register at least three weeks before the event are eligible for a personalized race number.
Live results are provided online, by email, and by text, and free finish-line video and same-day finish-line photos are available.
