Glen Cove YMCA 5K Run/Walk
The event is a community 5K run and walk hosted at Glen Cove High School and organized by the local YMCA. Registration is not yet open for the upcoming edition; registration will open ahead of the event.
Amenities listed for the event include post-race awards and prizes, refreshments, and sponsor giveaways. Event T-shirts are distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Awards include a top male and top female overall prize that comprises a one year full adult Y membership and a Y gift basket, plus medals for the top three male and female finishers in each age group. Age groups run from 15 & under, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, to 80 and over.
Bib pickup is available before the event at the YMCA in Glen Cove and on race day at Glen Cove High School; virtual participants receive bibs by mail within a shipping window around the event date. A course map is provided by the organizer. Proceeds support local individuals and families by providing access to the Y’s healthy living and youth programs.
