Glen Cove YMCA 5K Run/Walk
The Glen Cove YMCA 5K Run/Walk is a community road event organized by the Glen Cove YMCA. The event features a 5K course in Glen Cove with activity centered around Glen Cove High School at 150 Dosoris Lane, Glen Cove, NY.
Amenities listed for the event include post-race awards, prizes, refreshments, and sponsor giveaways. Event T-shirts are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Results and media are provided after the race, including live online/email/text results, free video and same-day finish-line photos, and additional photos shared on social media.
Awards are given to top finishers overall and by age group. Top overall male and female finishers receive a one-year full adult Y membership and a Y gift basket. Age-group medals are awarded for the top three males and females in the following brackets: 15 & under, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, and 80+.
Proceeds support local individuals and families by providing access to the Y’s healthy living and youth programs. Bib pickup is available at the YMCA at Glen Cove and at Glen Cove High School on the day of the race.
