The Bunny Trail 5K Run/Walk
The event is a trail 5K held at Bethpage State Park with in-person and virtual participation options. Distances offered include:
- 5K Run/Walk
- FREE Kiddie Run
- Virtual 5K option with one week to log time
The course begins on a grassy open polo field and continues on winding soft trails through Bethpage State Park and the Massapequas Lands. The route has a few small hills and mostly flat sections with a cross-country feel.
Amenities include an informal bag check area, bathrooms a few minutes' walk from the start and finish, hydration provided at the finish, and refreshments supplied by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. Event apparel such as a Bunny Trail tee is available. Bib mailing is offered for a $10 fee if registered at least ten days before the event; in-person bib pickup is available on site prior to the event. Instructions are provided for proper bib placement.
Online recognition is provided for top finishers overall and for the top finisher in each of these age groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80-89, and 90 and over.
