Event overview
The Never Stop Running Foundation Long Island Lemonade Trail is a 5K trail run and walk held on May 23, 2026. The event includes an in-person trail 5K and a virtual 5K option. A free Kiddie Dash is offered and does not require registration.
Location and course
The event takes place at Blydenburgh County Park Campground Playground on Veteran's Memorial Highway in Smithtown/Hauppauge, NY 11788. The course uses a mixture of pavement, dirt roads, and hard-packed trails that a vehicle can drive on. Portable toilets are located near the finish. Primary parking is at Picnic Areas 1-5 inside the park; additional parking is available at the boat launch, near the dog park, and at other park lots. Alternative parking is available at the H. Lee Dennison Building, about a 10-15 minute walk to the start.
Registration, bibs and virtual option
Registration offers in-person and virtual entries. A bib-mailing option is available for an additional fee if requested in advance. Virtual participants can upload times and up to five photos during the event window and will receive mailed items beginning the event start day.
Amenities, awards and beneficiary
Amenities include an informal bag check area, on-site hydration at the finish, and refreshments provided by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. Online recognition is given to the top overall finishers (M/F/X) and to top finishers in multiple age groups. Donations support the Never Stop Running Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization.
