NSRF Leftover Turkey Trot 5K : Bethpage State Park
The NSRF Leftover Turkey Trot is a trail 5K run/walk scheduled for November 28, 2026 at Bethpage State Park, listed as "Polo at the Park." The course uses trails in the Massapequas Lands and Old Bethpage areas. Parking is at the Bethpage State Park Playground with a short walk to the polo field.
Event options include an in-person 5K and a virtual 5K with a multi-day window for logging results. Participants can request bib mailing for an additional fee; late mailing may take several days. A free Kiddie Dash is held shortly before the main event and participants in that dash receive a finisher ribbon. A Leftovert shirt is available as event apparel.
On-site amenities note an informal bag check area, toilets within a few minutes walk of the start and finish, and hydration provided at the finish line. Post-race refreshments are provided by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. Live online results, same-day finish line photos, and video are available.
Competition recognition includes top finishers by gender designation and age-group placements, with awards listed for overall top positions and multiple age brackets. The event accepts donations; 100% of donations benefit the Never Stop Running Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization that supports athletic and charitable programs.
