Hot Cocoa Crush 5K at Eisenhower Park
The Hot Cocoa Crush 5K is a community road event held at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow, NY. The event includes a main 5K and a separate free kids dash, and it features post-race hot cocoa and refreshments provided by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water.
Amenities include an informal bag check area, restroom access a few minutes' walk from the start and finish, and hydration provided at the finish. A virtual participation option is offered; virtual entrants have from the first day of the event and a full week to log a time and submit up to five photos, and event items begin shipping on the first day of the event.
Bibs can be mailed for a fee if registration and mailing deadlines are met; in-person bib pickup is handled by event staff. Organizers provide live online, email, and text results, plus free video and same-day finish-line photos. Miscellaneous event photographs are also shared on Facebook.
Age-group online recognition is awarded to the top overall finisher in each gender and nonbinary category and to top finishers in standard age brackets ranging from 14 and under through 90 plus. Proceeds benefit the Never Stop Running Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports athletic and charitable events and athlete development.
