Event Overview

The Never Stop Running Foundation Comic Run 5K takes place at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow, New York. This themed event encourages participants to dress as superheroes or villains while completing a course through the park's scenic grounds. The event includes both an in-person race and a virtual participation option.

Course and Distance

The event features a 5K course that is USATF certified. The route primarily utilizes the bike paths within Eisenhower Park and Merrick Lands. In addition to the main distance, there is a separate Kiddie Dash for younger participants.

Amenities and Recognition

Participants receive a themed shirt and a finisher medal. Hydration is provided at the finish line, along with refreshments from event sponsors. An informal bag check area is available in the staging area, and public restrooms are located a short walk from the start and finish lines.

While there are no additional award medals beyond the finisher medals, the event provides online recognition for the top male, female, and non-binary finishers in various age categories. These categories range from 14 and under to 90 and older.

Virtual Participation

The virtual option allows participants to record their 5K distance at a location of their choice between May 9 and May 17. Virtual runners can upload their times and photos to a digital leaderboard to receive online recognition.

Foundation Support

Proceeds and donations from the event benefit the Never Stop Running Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. The foundation supports athletic and charitable events, funds local youth and special needs programs, and assists in the development of elite athletes.
