Comic Run 5K Eisenhower Park NSRF
The event is a themed 5K held at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow, New York. Participants are invited to wear superhero or villain costumes while running on a USATF certified 5K course that uses the park bike paths in the Merrick Lands area.
Amenities include an informal bag check area, restrooms a few minutes' walk from start and finish, and hydration at the finish line. Food and refreshments are provided by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. A virtual option allows participants to compete remotely, log a time within a defined window, submit up to five photos, and receive event items by mail beginning on the event start day.
Bib options include onsite pickup before the event and a mailing option for a fee if registered at least ten days in advance. Finishers receive a finisher medal; there are no additional award medals. Online recognition is given for top finishers overall and for age groups, including Top 1 F/M/X overall and Top 1 F/M/X in standard age brackets from 14 and under through 90 plus.
One hundred percent of donations support the Never Stop Running Foundation (NSRF), a 501(c)(3) organization that supports special needs and youth running events and athlete development.
