Comic Run 5K Eisenhower Park NSRF
The Comic Run 5K at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow is a themed 5-kilometer road race held on bike paths in the Merrick Lands area. The course is USATF certified and the event site is listed as Field 2, Parking Lot 2 in Eisenhower Park. Participants are encouraged to run in costume as superheroes or villains. A free kiddie dash is offered for younger participants.
Amenities include an informal bag check area, restrooms within a few minutes' walk of the start and finish, and hydration at the finish line. High quality refreshments are provided by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. Finishers receive a finisher medal and a comic event tee is available.
A virtual option allows participants to log a time and submit up to five photos within a one-week window surrounding the event; event items for virtual participants begin shipping on the first day of the event. Bibs may be mailed for a fee of $10 if registration is completed at least ten days in advance, and in-person bib pickup is available with event staff on site.
Age group recognition is given online for top finishers with finisher medals; overall top 1 in female, male, and nonbinary categories and top 1 in multiple age groups are acknowledged. One hundred percent of donations benefit the Never Stop Running Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit supporting special needs and youth running events and athlete development.
