Brooklyn St. Patrick's 5K, 10K & Half Marathon
The event features multiple distance options:
- 5K: one loop out and back along the shore.
- 10K: two loops out and back along the shore.
- Half marathon: four loops with two U turns.
The course runs along the boardwalk near Veterans Memorial Pier and offers views of the Verrazzano Bridge. Street, metered and garage parking are available near Shore Road and Bay Ridge Avenue.
Wheelchair participants are welcome; however, the course includes several tight 180 degree turns that may not suit all wheelchair racers. Half marathoners must run through both turnaround checkpoints for each loop to ensure accurate split and finish times. A 2 hour 45 minute cutoff applies to the half marathon.
On event day there is an informal bag check area and bathrooms within a few minutes walk of the start and finish. Hydration is provided at the finish line and higher quality refreshments are supplied by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. Finishers receive a commemorative tee and medal. Live online results and same day finish line photos are provided.
Bib options include in person pickup on event day or mailed bibs for a $10 fee if registered at least ten days before the race. A virtual option lets participants log time and up to five photos within the event week and receive mailed race items when gear ships.
A portion of event proceeds benefits the Never Stop Running Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports athletic and charitable programs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
