Brooklyn St. Patrick's 5K, 10K & Half Marathon
The event offers three distance options along the Brooklyn shore at Veterans Memorial Pier (Shore Rd & Bay Ridge Ave). Distances include:
- 5K one loop out and back along the shore
- 10K two loops out and back along the shore
- Half Marathon four loops with two U turns
The course runs on a boardwalk with views of the Verrazzano Bridge. Wheelchair participants are welcome, but several tight 180 degree turns may make the course less suited to some wheelchair racers. Half marathoners pass two turnaround checkpoints each loop; water stations are located at the U turn closest to the start and at the start finish area. Hydration is provided at the finish line.
Amenities include an informal bag check area, bathrooms a few minutes walk from the start and finish, and refreshments supplied by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. A commemorative tee and finisher medal are available. Parking options near the pier include street, metered, and garage parking.
A virtual option allows participants to log time and up to five photos within the first week of the event; race gear and mailed bibs begin shipping on event day. For in person participants, a bib may be mailed for a fee if registered at least ten days in advance. Bib placement guidance and race readout recommendations are provided for accurate timing.
Results are published live online with same day finish line photos and video. A portion of proceeds benefits the Never Stop Running Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization; 100 percent of donations and fundraising directly impacts the foundation.
Registration is not yet open and will open ahead of the date listed on the event page. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
