NSB Thanksgiving Gobble Wobble
The NSB Thanksgiving Gobble Wobble is a localized holiday tradition held in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. This chip-timed event takes place entirely on the sand, with both the start and finish lines located on the beach in front of the Flagler Avenue Boardwalk. The course is a loop that includes a water station that participants pass twice during the activity.
Participants in the 5k event receive several amenities as part of their registration. These include a race-specific shirt, a finisher medal, and a chip-timed bib for professional scoring. Results are posted online following the conclusion of the event, and free professional race photos are made available for download. Because the event is held on the beach, the organizers encourage sustainable hydration methods to reduce litter impact on the shoreline.
Following the beach run, an after-race celebration is held at Flagler Tavern. Recognition is given to the top overall male and female finishers, as well as top masters and the top three finishers in various age groups.
