Cross Florida Individual Time Trial
The Cross Florida Individual Time Trial, organized by Singletrack Samurai, is an off road, coast to coast endurance challenge held December 12–13, 2026 in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, starting at the E 3rd Avenue Beach Access Ramp. The event combines bikepacking, packrafting and ultra running over long mixed terrain.
The route totals approximately 250 to 300 miles and includes singletrack, forest roads, paved roads, bike trails, double track and grassy abandoned easements. No cue sheets are provided; participants receive a GPX file and instructions. Use of a GPS device is required and Garmin eTrex 20 or better is recommended. Route files are licensed per individual and must be downloaded and opened with compatible software.
Participants may choose a packraft option to cross the river; a short or long packraft option can reduce the route by about 40 to 50 miles. Riders who decline packrafting may attempt other river crossings by arranging local boat transport during the route.
Participation requires a tracking device to enable online tracking of progress. There is no time limit and no official cut offs; official start times must be coordinated with the organizer in advance. Basic rules require completing the route under one’s own power except for medical emergency, no drafting, and no prearranged external support or SAG vehicles. Three checkpoints require photographic or video proof submitted to the organizer for verification.
A minimum donation of $80 covers the route file, trail guide, waypoint restock file and one souvenir. Route information is released October 12 and refunds are not available after that release. A limited shuttle option from Inglis to New Smyrna Beach is available for a fee and has its own refund window. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
