About the race
The Norwell Turkey Trot & Kids Turkey Chase is a community running event that benefits Norwell Middle School. The program includes a 5K Turkey Trot and a separate Kids Turkey Chase for children age 10 and under. Online registration for all events closes on November 19.
The Turkey Trot follows a flat neighborhood course that starts and ends at Norwell High School and proceeds via South Street, Pleasant Street, and EA Joseph before returning to the high school. The Kids Turkey Chase meets near Lot B at the tennis court parking lot and is a separate entry from the 5K.
A tiered pricing schedule applies: registration fees increase through successive date windows, with discounted flat rates available through November 19 for NPS teachers and for students ages 18 and under. Kids Turkey Chase online registration is listed at a lower fee than day of event registration. Optional T-shirts and hoodies are available if ordered by November 10.
Awards include top male and female overall finishers, top three in age groups, and spirit prizes for best 80s and Thanksgiving turkey costumes. The John Hughan Kindness Contest recognizes observed acts of kindness with custom Kindness Hoodies. Team prizes are offered, and volunteers will collect donations for the local food pantry, with requested items and grocery gift cards specified.
