WBYAA Turkey Trot
WBYAA holds its 3rd Annual Turkey Trot on November 14, 2026 at 70 Howard Street, West Bridgewater, MA. The event features a community road race and a timed children's run, and it raises funds for local youth athletics.
Distances include:
- 5K road race
- 1 mile timed kids fun run
Proceeds support field maintenance, landscaping, trash removal, and scholarships to keep programs and facilities available for children. The kids' run is timed and awards are presented by age group for male and female finishers; all other youth participants receive a finisher's ribbon. The top three overall finishers in each race receive a turkey.
The morning includes family activities such as face painting, football drills, coffee, hot cocoa, donuts, and raffles from Maplewood Country Day, Starland, and other local donors. Organizers request a nonperishable food donation for the local food pantry from participants in the kids' run.
Registrations submitted by October 26 will include a free T-shirt. Children are asked to register online in advance so bibs with timing chips can be prepared. In-person registration payments on the day of the event must be made by cash or check; credit cards will not be accepted. Bib pick-up and in-person registration will be available the morning of the event at Friendship Park, 70 Howard Street.
