The Northmen 5k takes place at North Smithfield Middle School in North Smithfield, Rhode Island. It is a 5k run/walk event.
Event Details
The race offers three registration categories:
- 5k Run/Walk - Registration fee $30.
- Student 5k Run/Walk - Registration fee $20, open to ages 18 and under.
- 5k Run/Walk - Veteran - Registration fee $20.
All three events share a common start and finish location. Participants in the 5k receive a t-shirt and a finishing medal. Awards are given for the top finishers: the first-place male and female receive a trophy, while first, second, and third place for girls and boys aged 12 and under receive ribbons.
The event uses age groups for categorization: 12 and below, 13-18, 19-35, 36-64, and 65+.
Beneficiaries and Logistics
