North Tyneside 10k Road Race 2027
The North Tyneside 10 km road race follows a coastal route that passes a working Fish Quay, the River Tyne, Tynemouth Priory and Castle, and a long stretch of coastline before finishing at St. Marys Lighthouse in Whitley Bay. The course is organised by North Tyneside Council and supported by Start Fitness and Clearly Drinks.
The event uses chip timing and participants receive their result by text message. Video clips of the race are also made available. Runners receive a goody bag with a race t-shirt at the finish line.
Recent performance figures are provided: 2026 winning times were 32 minutes 25 seconds for the male winner and 38 minutes 05 seconds for the female winner, and the overall course record stands at 30 minutes 26 seconds.
