Event details

The Lewis Burn Trail Run takes place on 24 January 2026 in Kielder Forest. It is a night trail race and is listed as Race 4 of the Shadowlands Race Series. The event is organised by Cold Brew Events Ltd. Minimum age to enter is 18 or older. Entries open 26 October 2025 and close 19 January 2026. Entry fees are shown as UKA Member £28.00 and Non Member £30.00, plus a booking fee. The entry fee includes a £4 Forestry England charge. The event is held under TRA/UKA rules and a £2 fee applies for non-UKA participants.

Course and competition

The course centres on the Lewis Burn mountain bike trail and uses forest tracks and mountain bike trails. The route is described as undulating with a number of small climbs, runs parallel to the Lewis Burn for part of the route, includes steep zig zags at Simons Tester, and finishes with a long descent back to the finish. Distance is 10 km with elevation of 246 m. There are event prizes on the night and competitors can earn points towards the series presentation at Pedalling Squares cafe on 21 February 2026.
