North Shore Turkey Trot 5K
The North Shore Turkey Trot 5K takes place on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2026, at the North Shore Community Youth Organization in Glen Head, New York. The event offers a community 5 kilometer run and walk plus a separate children’s fun run.
Distances
- 5 km Run and Walk
- Kids Fun Run, approximately 1/2 mile, for ages 12 and under
Registration is handled online. Fees are non refundable and cover event expenses; optional donations are accepted. Registrants who register three weeks in advance can have their name printed on their bib. Participants may use a bib lookup to display their bib number on a mobile device.
Amenities listed for the event include a commemorative gift for pre registered runners and while supplies last for day of entries, post race refreshments, music, and same day finish line photos and free video. Live online, email, and text results are provided.
Awards are planned for top overall male and female finishers and for the top three male and female finishers in multiple age groups including 14 and under, 15 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 and over. All kids run participants receive ribbons.
