Event overview
The North Shore Turkey Trot 5K takes place on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 2025, at the North Shore Community Youth Organization, 200 Glen Head Rd, Glen Head, NY 11545. The event includes the following distances:

- Kids 1/2 Mile Fun Run
Online registration is closed. Proceeds support the North Shore Community Youth Organization. All pre-registered runners will receive a race commemorative gift. Day-of entries will receive a commemorative gift while supplies last. Post-race refreshments, music, and family activities are provided.
Awards, bib pickup, and race media
Awards are given to the top 1 male and top 1 female overall and to the top 3 males and top 3 females in these age groups: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Ribbons are awarded to all kids run participants. Runners must know their bib number to pick up a bib; a self-lookup area is available for those who do not know their number. Results are available live online, by email, and by text. Free video and same-day finish line photos are provided. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
