NMTC Fall Series
The NMTC Fall Series is a group of nine short-distance trail races held across the Twin Ports from August to October 2026. The series uses woodland singletrack and ski-trail corridors to showcase local trails and varies course locations across the area. Races begin on Wednesday evenings early in the season and shift to Sunday afternoons as daylight shortens. The final race is followed by a potluck and prizes for all participants.
Distances
- 6 to 11 km
Entry to the series is free. Donations are accepted online or at the race start.
One example course is the Rock Hill race, a 6 km outing at the Bagley nature area adjacent to UMD. That course follows two figure-eight loops on ski trails and begins and ends at the baseball field. The trail is generally wide and not highly technical, but it includes some notable hills. Boardwalk sections can become slippery when wet. The setting features pine stands and a pond where ducks may be present.
Results are kept for individual races and gender categories. The series emphasizes short trail formats spread across multiple evenings and locations within the Twin Ports area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
