Twilight Trot and Sunset Stroll

The Twilight Trot and Sunset Stroll is an event presented in support of the Covenant Ability Network of Minnesota. The second annual event takes place on Friday, September 25, 2026, in Duluth. It offers three different events for participants.

Events

Twilight Trot 5k: A running event.
Sunset Stroll: A 1-mile walk.
Virtual Twilight Trot: A virtual participation option.

Course Details

The 5k is an out-and-back course on the Lakewalk along Lake Superior. The race starts and finishes at the Lakewalk Endion Station, heading northeast before returning towards downtown. Runners are asked to stay to the right side of the path, as participants will be going in opposite directions for a portion. The 1-mile walk heads towards the Aerial Lift Bridge.

Fundraising and Awards

The event supports the Covenant Ability Network. A fundraising program offers incentives like free race entry and branded merchandise (winter hats, t-shirts, sweatshirts) at various donation levels. An awards ceremony is scheduled after the events, and results will be posted online.

Additional Information

Parking is available in nearby ramps or lots. A race shirt is guaranteed for participants who register before September 1st. The cost for the virtual event does not include a shirt. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
