The NJ Trail Series SOMO Winter 3 takes place in South Orange, New Jersey (12 Bear Lane) on January 10, 2026. The event offers the following distances:

Standard registration for each distance closes on January 7, 2026. Base entry prices start at $30 for the 5K, $35 for the 10K, and $40 for the 13.1M; fees increase by $5 as the race date gets closer. Day-of registration fees are listed as $45 for the 5K, $50 for the 10K, and $55 for the 13.1M. Day-of payments can be made with cash, check, Venmo, Zelle, or PayPal.
Course and logistics
All distances run on a looped course at South Mountain Reservation that uses existing fire roads, single-track trail, hills, and some pavement. The 5K completes one loop, the 10K completes two loops, and the 13.1M completes four loops. Aid is available at approximately every three miles.
