The Nightmare In Elmwood is scheduled for Saturday, October 24, 2026, in the Elmwood Park neighborhood of Columbia, SC. The event includes a 5K and a Kids Fun Run. Logistics and rules
Packet pick-up is scheduled the day before the race at 1201 Franklin Street; race day packet pick-up will be located near the start/finish area. There is a shirt guarantee deadline of October 3, 2026; shirts will not be shipped and must be collected at packet pick-up or on race day. Awards will be presented for top overall and masters finishers, age-group places (multiple age brackets), and the top six Halloween costumes; recipients must be present to receive awards. Team registrations of five or more receive a group discount of $5 per person and team awards are planned. The event is nonrefundable, has no deferrals, is held rain or shine, and no bib exchanges are allowed after October 22, 2026. Strollers and leashed dogs are permitted.
