About the race
The Famously Hot Pink event is part of the 36th Walk for Life presented by Prisma Health Midlands Foundation on October 17, 2026 at Segra Park in Columbia, South Carolina. The event combines a community walk with organized road runs and activities for children, all held at the ballpark.
Race and activity options include:
- 10K
- 5K
- 800 meter Aflac Kids Fun Run (about 1/2 mile)
The 10K, 5K and the walk end inside Segra Park’s ballpark. A finish-line celebration includes photo opportunities on a photo wall accented with balloons. Registered participants receive an event T-shirt, and registered breast cancer survivors receive a survivor’s hat.
The Aflac Kids Fun Run finishes at home plate inside Segra Park. Children who complete the run receive a bib and a pair of sunglasses. Participation in the Fun Run is $15, and registered children may receive a free shirt. Fun Run shirts are accepted for free entry to the South Carolina State Fair on October 18.
Historically the Walk for Life and Famously Hot Pink series has raised more than $13.1 million for Prisma Health Breast Centers in the Midlands. Proceeds from the 2026 event will support a new 38-foot mobile mammography van equipped with a 3-D mammography unit, plus related patient support items and services.
