Run for Resilience Ostomy 5K - Columbia
The inaugural Run for Resilience Ostomy 5K takes place in Columbia, South Carolina at Sesquicentennial State Park on October 10, 2026. The event is organized as two 5K divisions: an Open Division and an Ostomate Division. The Ostomate Division will recognize the top three ostomate finishers; awards for the Open Division are to be announced.
Registration for the event opens on February 8, 2026 and closes on July 31, 2026. The listed registration fee is $35. Participants may create or join race groups or teams when registering. A referral program offers a $20 refund to participants who refer five other registered participants; the referral program applies to in-person locations and the virtual event.
Fundraising is encouraged. Individuals who raise $150 or more receive a registration fee refund. Fundraising levels include Empower for $250 or more and Champion for $450 or more; Champion level fundraisers also receive the Empower level award. Specific fundraising awards are to be announced.
Proceeds benefit the United Ostomy Associations of America, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Event registration protection insurance is available for an additional fee; the policy may provide a refund for qualifying reasons subject to its terms.
