Run for Resilience Ostomy 5k - Columbia
The 1st Annual Run for Resilience Ostomy 5k takes place on October 10, 2026, in Columbia, South Carolina, at 300 Spring Valley Road. The event coincides with Ostomy Awareness Day and includes local vendors, food, music, and family oriented activities. All proceeds benefit the United Ostomy Associations of America, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit; donations are tax deductible.
The event offers two 5K divisions. The Open Division is for males and females of all ages with the following age groups: 19 and under; 20 to 29; 30 to 39; 40 to 49; 50 to 59; 60 to 69; 70 and over. The Ostomate Division is for ostomates, with awards to the top three ostomate finishers. Registration opens on February 8, 2026 and closes on July 31, 2026; the registration fee is $30. Fundraising options include a refund of the registration fee for individuals who raise $150 or more, and tiered fundraising levels at $250 and $450 with related awards to be announced. Participants may create or join race groups or teams; team registration is separate from team fundraising. A referral program offers a $20 refund when five other people register and participate.
