About the race
The 4.01K Reindeer Run is a community holiday running event held at the Rock Hill Criterium Course, 1307 Riverwalk Parkway, Rock Hill, SC 29730. The event includes multiple race formats, a costume contest for children, and activities that support Crisis Response International, a nonprofit that trains and mobilizes to meet urgent needs in crises.
Distances offered:
- 4.01K (2.5 miles) flagship costume run and walk.
- 10K competitive race on the criterium course, slightly longer than a standard 10K.
- Reindeer Relay four person team, each leg is one 1.1 mile loop.
- 4.01K + 10K Combo package for participants in both events.
The 4.01K is described as a relaxed, family friendly costume run/walk where participants may dress in Christmas gear. The 10K uses laps of the certified criterium course and is positioned as a competitive option. The Reindeer Relay requires teams of four to register together; solo participants may be paired with an available team at check in.
Additional event details include a Kids Costume Contest with prizes, a stated policy that children age 5 and under run free without registration, a reduced registration fee for ages 13 and under that does not include race items, packet pickup on December 4 at Charlotte Running Company, and a no pets policy on the criterium course.
