Night of the Living Runners - 5K, 10K, 10 Miler, Half Marathon
Night of the Living Runners is a multi-distance road running event held at Alamitos Beach in Long Beach, CA. The event uses out and back courses on the beach path and shares two main routed segments: a 5k route and a 5 mile route. Runners should keep to the right side of the beach path; the left side is for cyclists.
Distances offered:
- 5K (one lap of the 5k route)
- 10K (two laps of the 5k route)
- 10 Miles (two laps of the 5 mile route)
- Half Marathon (13.1 Miles) (two laps of the 5 mile route plus one lap of the 5k route)
Logistics note that early bib pick-up is available the day before at Sports Basement Long Beach and bib pick-up is available on race day. Parking in the lot is charged at $2 per hour and street parking is free; Half and 10 Mile participants may use the Passport app to pay for lot parking.
On-course support includes a fully stocked water station, and the finish area has water, electrolytes, and snacks. First aid kits are at each station and crew members have received CPR training. Turns are marked with chalk, runner signs, and flags. Gear check is available at the registration tent. All finishers receive a race medal and overall first male and female in each distance receive first place medals. Results and photos are emailed the day after the race and race photos are free.
