Bottone Mile (Wednesday, July 29, 2026)

The 32nd annual Bottone Mile is scheduled for Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at Ninigret Park, 5 Park Lane, Charlestown, RI. Entry fee is free. Online pre-registration is required for all participants. Onsite race-day registration is handled by QR code and smartphone only. All participants must check in to receive a bib.

Course and program

The event uses a measured mile on the traffic-free Ninigret Park criterium course. The course is described as fast and flat, closed to traffic, one loop with no 90-degree turns. Facilities include on-site bathrooms and a post-race barbecue. Bibs are seeded in order of projected time entered during online pre-registration; the lowest seed times are placed on the starting line.

History

From 1994 to 2017 the event was run on track in Westerly or Stonington. From 2018 to 2023 it was a measured road mile in Misquamicut. Since 2024 it has been run as a measured mile at Ninigret Park. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
