#NFStrong-Memphis is a community fundraising walk and 5K taking place on Sunday, November 8, 2026 at East Parkway Pavilion in Overton Park, 389 E Parkway N, Memphis, TN. The event supports the NF Network, which promotes scientific research, improves clinical care, and provides outreach through education and awareness for people affected by neurofibromatosis.
Event participation is available in-person and virtually, and there is a separate kids walk for younger participants. Registration fees apply and vary by option. The virtual 5K option does not include a t-shirt. A free educational meeting about neurofibromatosis is offered the day before the walk.
Neurofibromatosis is described by the NF Network as a genetic disorder of the nervous system that causes tumors to form on nerves. It is progressive, affects all races and sexes, and occurs in about one in every 2,500 to 3,000 births in the United States. NF is autosomal dominant and not contagious; roughly half of cases have a prior family history and half are due to spontaneous mutation. The network states that more than 120,000 Americans are affected.
