Newtown Turkey Trot
The Newtown Turkey Trot is a community running and walking event on 11/26/2026 that benefits the C.H. Booth Library. The event uses the routes introduced in 2019 and starts and finishes at Newtown Middle School (11 Queen Street), Newtown, CT.

Race entry is by advance online registration. Registration is available up to race day and must be completed before the race begins. Entry fees vary by date and include processing fees; individual pricing tiers are listed for early and later registration, and group discounts apply for groups of four or more during a specified period.
Packet pickup and bib distribution occur at the C.H. Booth Library Maker's Space on the days before the event and on race morning; bib pickup only is available on race morning. Participants registered before 11/01 are eligible for a 50/50 cotton blend race t-shirt if they choose, and registering by November 9 is noted for t-shirt guarantees. A technical long-sleeve shirt is available for purchase during registration.
No race-provided food will be offered; water and coffee will be provided by local sponsors. Dogs are not permitted during the event. Awards are planned for overall and age-group finishers, with top three results for women, men, and non-binary in each listed age group. Uncollected awards will be available from the library or mailed. Participants are asked to consider donating non-perishable food to Faith Food Pantry.
