Newtown Shamrock Shuffle 5K : March 14, 2026

The Newtown Shamrock Shuffle 5K is set in historic Newtown, Pennsylvania, at 23 N State St. The 2026 edition is the tenth annual running of the event and includes a standard 5K and a youth 5K for ages 12 and under.

Participants run a course through historic Newtown that the organizer states will remain the same as previous years. After the race there is a community shuffle through town where participating bars, restaurants, and shops will offer specials and giveaways in lieu of the usual Irish Festival. All 5K participants receive a custom finisher medal and a quality finisher shirt.

Race entry rules include a pace requirement: participants must maintain a 20 minute per mile pace and be able to complete the course within 60 minutes or less of crossing the start line. The event lists A Love for Life as the official charity partner; that organization raises funds for pancreatic cancer research and partners with the Abramson Cancer Center at the University of Pennsylvania.
