Race the Course 5K/10K: Leprechauns on the Links
Race the Course is the fourth running of a community event held on March 14, 2026 at Makefield Highlands Golf Club in Yardley, PA. The event is open to all individuals and supports Lower Makefield Parks and Recreation in its goal to improve disability access to township parks.
The course uses paved cart paths on the golf club property. The 1 mile and 5K courses are routed mostly on the flatter front 9 holes, while the 10K begins on the front 9 and finishes on the back 9, which includes more undulating terrain and a few steeper sections. The event takes place on grounds that once formed the Pleasant Valley Estate Farm, with a history traced to the early eighteenth century.

Registration is handled online with on-site registration available. Online registration is requested to be completed by March 12, 2026. All paid participants registered by March 1 will receive a custom race shirt and the first 200 paid registrations will receive a custom medal; shirts and medals are not guaranteed for registrations after March 1. Pricing is listed with a resident discount for Lower Makefield Township and no charge for children age five and under. St. Patrick's Day themed attire is encouraged.
