The Newtown 10K is a community road running event in Newtown, Powys. The event attracts people taking part for fitness, competition, charity, health or enjoyment. Participants range from first time runners of all ages to competitive athletes.

The race uses a one lap course that starts and finishes in the town centre at Open Newtown, Back Lane, Newtown SY16 2NH. The route runs on fully closed roads and pathways and includes sections alongside the River Severn with accessible pavements for spectators. The event headquarters and start finish area are a short walk from several town centre car parks.

Practical arrangements include free parking at Back Lane Car Park from 8am until 1pm with 404 bays available. The organiser sets a race cut off time of 90 minutes; roads are reopened in line with this pace and runners who fall behind may be asked to withdraw for safety. Finishers receive a commemorative medal. Awards are presented to the top three male and top three female finishers and to 14 age group winners, seven female and seven male. A charity partner is to be confirmed. Results and event photos are published after the race. Sponsors and local partners support the event and its organisation.
