Event

The Newtown 10K Run is a 10K road race organised by Adrenaline Sporting Events. It is scheduled for 24th May 2026. The race is a one-lap course that starts and finishes in Newtown town centre and runs alongside the River Severn. The course uses fully closed roads and pathways and finishers receive a medal.

Logistics and rules

Race headquarters and the start/finish are at Open Newtown, Back Lane, Newtown, SY16 2NH. Free parking is provided at Back Lane Car Park with 404 bays available. Roads are closed by permission of the council and will re-open in line with race pace. The official race cut-off time is 90 minutes. Spectators are asked to stay off the course until runners have passed and may watch from paths alongside the river.

Prizes

Awards are given to the top three male and top three female finishers. Age-group awards cover 14 categories, with seven male and seven female winners. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
