Event overview
The Newtown 10K is a road running event organised by Adrenaline Sporting Events, scheduled for 24 May 2026 in Newtown, Powys. The race is a single-lap, 10-kilometre course that starts and finishes in the town centre at Open Newtown, Back Lane, SY16 2NH. Participants range from first-time runners to competitive athletes.
Race details
The course uses fully closed roads and pathways and is described as having a fast start and finish. Much of the route follows paths alongside the River Severn and participants receive a finishers medal. The event headquarters, start and finish are a short walk from several town centre car parks; additional parking is provided at Back Lane Car Park with 404 bays.
The race has a 90-minute cut-off; roads will re-open in line with this pace and runners falling behind may be asked to withdraw for safety. Awards are given to the top three male and top three female finishers, plus 14 age-group winners (seven female and seven male). Spectators are asked to stay off the course until runners have passed and are advised to use pavements and river-side paths. A route map and event results and photos are available. The event lists a charity partner as to be confirmed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
