Newport 10K
The Newport 10K is a road-closed city-centre race held in Newport on 29 November 2026. The course starts and finishes at Rodney Parade on Rodney Road, NP19 0UU, and covers 10 km with an elevation gain of about 45 m. The route is described as flat and set up for steady pacing and strong finishes, with signage and marshals along the course and viewing spots near the stadium.
There is a 90 minute cut-off due to road closures and the minimum age to enter is 15. The event village offers facilities for runners, secure bag drop, and toilet access. Water is provided at the 5 km mark and again at the finish. Race packs are posted to entrants before the event when possible; late entrants collect theirs at registration on race day.
Included with entry are a unique themed medal, free event photos, chip-timed results, and post-race goodies. An optional event T-shirt is available as an add-on. The event notes that there is no specific event parking and that city centre parking and walking to the venue are common approaches. Pram and wheelchair participants are welcome.
