Newport 10K - 29 November 2026
The Newport 10K is a road-closed city-centre 10 km event taking place on 29 November 2026. The race starts and finishes at Rodney Parade, home of Dragons RFC and Newport County AFC. The course is described as flat and suitable for steady pacing, with each kilometre accurately marked.
Road closures, clear signage and marshals are used along the route. The area near the stadium is noted for a lively atmosphere and several viewing spots for supporters. Chip-timed results are provided.
Entries include a unique themed medal, free race photos and post-race goodies. An event village offers food and drink options and free items from partner stands at the finish. Ticket sales are organised in phases: Super Early Bird entry ends 15 March 2026, Early Bird entry ends 31 May 2026 and Standard entry ends 1 November 2026.
The organiser reports research into runner priorities and highlights sustainability as a growing focus. An event t-shirt is available at a discount of more than 30% when purchased as part of the entry, produced with partner RT Kit and featuring the event logo.
