Newcastle‑Gateshead Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K and Junior Races
This event stages road closed races through Gateshead and Newcastle along the River Tyne, finishing inside Gateshead International Stadium. The course passes several riverside landmarks including Gateshead Millennium Bridge, BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art, The Glasshouse International Centre for Music, Tyne Bridge and Swing Bridge. Runners complete the event by running around the stadium track to the finish line.

Entries include a unique themed medal, chip timed results, post-race goodies and free race photos. Each kilometre is marked with distance flags and marshals are positioned on the course to guide and support participants. There is a six hour cut off for the marathon due to road closures. Ticketing phases are listed with deadlines: Super Early Bird entry ends 31 May 2026, Early Bird entry ends 1 November 2026 and Standard entry ends 4 April 2027.
