Hill and Dales 2026: Luke's Mountain
Luke's Mountain is a mountain running event held in County Down as part of the Hill and Dales League. The race is organized by Newcastle AC and takes place on a course primarily consisting of mountain terrain. The event is classified with a difficulty rating of 3 (1,1,1), which indicates easy terrain with specific parameters for ascent and distance.

The race route is marked only at major junctions. Participants are not permitted to use GPS devices for navigation during the event. Because the race takes place in a mountain environment, specific mandatory kit requirements are in effect. All runners must carry "Level B" standard equipment for the duration of the race. This equipment includes a waterproof jacket, a hat or buff, gloves, and a whistle. Additionally, participants must carry a foil blanket or bivvy bag and a charged mobile phone with the emergency number stored in the device.
