The Newbury 10K will take place on Monday 25 May 2026 and is the 16th staging of the race. It is a town-based multi-terrain event held under UK Athletics rules, licence number 30262. The main race is open to runners aged 15 and over. One hundred percent of the profits from the 2026 races will be split between Newbury AC and the charity Swings & Smiles.
Course and races
- 10 km multi-terrain for ages 15 and over
- ~0.9 km pre-race for ages 5–10 (closed roads)
- ~1.5 km pre-race for ages 11–14 (closed roads)
The 10 km course starts and finishes in the town centre. The first 3 km includes a gentle climb, followed by a short descent and then mostly flat running. About 7 km of the course is on road; the remainder is on footpaths and the Kennet and Avon Canal tow path. Recent route changes have removed some narrow and uneven path sections. Not all road sections are closed to traffic. The 10 km has a cut-off time of 100 minutes and is not suitable for wheelchair users or pushchairs.
