Newark Half Marathon & Junior Race : 16 August 2026
The Newark Half Marathon and Junior Race take place in Newark-on-Trent on 16 August 2026. The event is organised by RunThrough and supports Beaumond House Hospice, which provides palliative care and support to patients and families in Newark and Sherwood.
The half marathon is a road-closed, measured course that heads out from Newark onto quiet country roads around Hawton and Cotham. The start is on Hawton Road and the finish is in Sconce & Devon Park. Each kilometre is marked with distance flags and marshals are positioned around the route to guide and assist participants.
Included with entry are a themed medal, free race photos, chip-timed results and post-race refreshments. There is an event village with food and drink options and free partner giveaways at the finish. An event t-shirt is available at more than 30% off when purchased during entry checkout. The organiser states a focus on sustainability and ongoing measures to reduce event impact.
