23rd Annual New Year's Eve Loop the Lake Run
The event takes place on December 31, 2026, at the Filter Building near White Rock Lake in Dallas, Texas. It is the 23rd running of the New Year's Eve Loop the Lake Run and is organised by the Loop the Lake Foundation, which began in 2004.
The main course is a 15K loop around White Rock Lake. Participants may run or walk any distance they choose. Registrants are entered into a raffle of prizes, and organisers advise arriving at least 45 minutes early to check in and pick up a swag bag.
All proceeds benefit the nonprofit Marathon Kids. The Loop the Lake Foundation reports it has raised over $240,000 for Marathon Kids. Marathon Kids is described as an evidence based physical activity program that supports children and schools by encouraging kids to set goals and complete the equivalent of multiple marathons over a season.
