The event raises funds for NAMI Oshkosh and its programs; all of the organization’s services are free. NAMI’s stated mission for this event is to support, educate, and advocate for people affected by mental illness. The event provides a place to celebrate and honor those living with mental health concerns and to remember those with mental health conditions who have died.
Participants may register individually or as part of a team. There is an optional packet pickup on Friday, May 1, at a location to be determined. Race-day offerings listed by the organizer include registration and information booths, team photos, mascots, activities such as face painting and balloon art, and post-race music and food items (sandwiches, popcorn, cookies, drinks).
