Event overview
The New Year's Day 5K & Fun Run is scheduled for January 1, 2026 in Dallas, Texas at Katy Trail Ice House, 3127 Routh St, Dallas, TX 75201. The event program includes these options:
- 5K
- 1M Fun Run
- Virtual Run
The 5K is a chip timed event using disposable timing tags. The 1M Fun Run is not timed. Water stops are provided on the 5K course at mile 1 and mile 2. Virtual participants will receive a t-shirt and finisher medal by mail after the event. Participants who register by December 5 will have a race t-shirt size guaranteed.
Logistics, swag and awards
Early packet pickup is offered on December 30 and December 31 at Playtri Dallas, Hillside Village Shopping Center. Race day packet pickup and late registration are available at the race site. Each runner's bib and timing tag must be worn visibly on the front.
Swag for participants includes a long sleeve t-shirt, a finisher medal, and a brunch pass (breakfast taco plus a mimosa or beer for those 21 and over with ID). Extra brunch tickets are available for guests.
The 5K awards include top overall male and female, masters and grand masters male and female, and top three male and female finishers in multiple age groups from 14 & under through 80+. Parking at the venue includes 70 valet spots plus additional lot and street parking. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
