New Year's Day 5K & Fun Run - Dallas
This event takes place on January 1, 2027, at Katy Trail Ice House, 3127 Routh St, Dallas, TX 75201. Running options include:
- 5K
- 1 Mile Fun Run
- Virtual Run
The 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run use the Katy Trail. The 5K course has water stops at mile 1 and mile 2. New Year's Day brunch at the venue runs until 11:00 AM.
Registration opens July 7, 2026 and closes October 1, 2026. Published entry fees are $40.00 for the 5K, $35.00 for the 1 Mile Fun Run, and $40.00 for the Virtual Run. Participants who register by December 5 will have a t-shirt guaranteed; registrations after that date may not receive the requested size.
Event swag includes a brunch pass (one breakfast taco and one mimosa or beer for those 21 and older), a long sleeve t-shirt, and a finisher medal. Each in-person runner receives one brunch ticket on their bib. Extra brunch tickets are available to provide one breakfast taco and one beer or mimosa to a guest or to allow a runner a second taco and drink. Alcohol is limited to those 21 and older and requires valid ID.
Virtual participants do not pick up packets; virtual runners receive a t-shirt and finisher medal by mail the week after the event. Shipping for virtual entries is within the United States only.
