New Year's Day 5K & Fun Run : Dallas
New Year's Day 5K & Fun Run is held in Dallas on January 1, 2027, at the Katy Trail Ice House, 3127 Routh St. The run uses the Katy Trail for its course; the 5K course includes water stops at mile 1 and mile 2.

The 5K is chip timed using disposable timing tags and participants must wear their bib visibly on the front. The 1M Fun Run is not timed. Virtual participants will not have packet pickup and will receive a t-shirt and finisher medal by mail during the week after the race.
Swag and extras include a brunch pass (one breakfast taco and one mimosa or beer for those 21 and over), a long sleeve t-shirt, and a finisher medal. Extra brunch tickets are available for guests; each runner receives one brunch ticket on their bib. Participants registered by December 5th are guaranteed a t-shirt; registrations after that date may not receive the requested size.
Packet pickup is available on two early dates at Playtri Dallas in Hillside Village and there is race day packet pickup at the race site. Parking includes 70 valet spots at the venue plus regular lot and street parking. 5K awards include overall and masters male and female winners and age group top finishers; unclaimed awards will not be mailed.
