New Year's 5K - Travelers Rest
The New Year's 5K provides an opportunity to begin the year with a community running event in Travelers Rest, South Carolina. Scheduled for January 2, the event includes options for different age groups and abilities, taking place on a paved surface suitable for both runners and walkers.
Participants can choose from the following distances:

- 800 m (Kids Half Mile)
The 5K race is conducted on a paved course. All registered participants in this distance receive a long-sleeve race shirt as part of their registration fee. Awards are presented to the top overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three finishers in various age categories, ranging from age 9 and under to 75 and over.
The Kids Half Mile is a free event designed for younger participants to experience a race environment. While there is no registration fee for the 800 m distance, participants must still be registered in advance. This fun run is not timed, and every child receives recognition upon crossing the finish line.
The event is stroller-friendly and open to first-time participants. All registration management, including participant transfers to other runners or different events within the series, is handled through the registration profile.
